When you start SeeStorm for Skype, if Skype is not running, it will be launched automatically. When Skype is started for the first time with SeeStorm for Skype newly installed, there may appear a warning that Another program wants to use Skype:  Choose Allow this program to use Skype and press OK. So there are 2 ways to activate SeeStorm for Skype:
 SeeStorm for Skype default window When you open SeeStorm for Skype while not being in a Skype conversation with anyone, you will see the black window with the picture showing that you are not connected now. 
When you start a Skype conversation with someone who does not launched (or does not have) SeeStorm for Skype yet, you will see the default avatar against the default background. You'll be seeing this avatar until your contact starts SeeStorm for Skype and chooses some avatar. Please note: Your contact will not be able to see your avatar (shown in the small embedded window), until he/she launches SeeStorm for Skype as well. 
Skype call control buttons are available in the bottom-left corner. When your partner in conversation launches SeeStorm for Skype and chooses any avatar, you will see it in the program window. Welcome to a live avatar video talk!  You can easily manage your appearance in Skype: please look up the sections Changing Avatar and Changing Background. Also check the section Communicating with Emotions to learn how to get even more expression in your Skype communications. Managing the program window Standard buttons are used to manage the program window: click  button to minimize the window,click  button to go into Full Screen mode, click  button to close the window - SeeStorm for Skype will continue to run in the background and will be shown as an icon in the system tray.
